Technical Requirements

General comments

This page discusses minimum hardware and software requirements for using these modules. Go to Trouble Shooting for instructions on how to fix technology problems that arise while using the module.

Most of the animations and selected web sites will work fine with any type of computer.

In principle these pages are compatible with any browser

Macintosh Computers

Requirements:

You can find out your version on a Mac by clicking on the Apple icon on the upper left of the main toolbar and selecting "About Netscape Navigator".

Works best if using:

Operating System: 7.6.1 or higher
Connection speed: T1 or above
Memory usage for Netscape: above 6000KB.
To increase the memory, select the Netscape icon, go up to File, click Get Info, and on the bottom of the screen find Minimum and Preferred memory requirements. Click in the box and change minimum to 5000KB and preferred to 10000KB. This will work best on machines with 16MB or more of RAM.

PC Computers

Requirements:

You can find out your version number by selecting HELP on the Netscape or IE toolbar and then selecting "About Explorer" or about "About Netscape" (usually the last item in the toolbar). Windows 95, 98, NT4
